Garden news

My mom says she didn't have any new photo's of me to post today...... what a shame as I am the cutest! Instead she decided to post a couple photo's of our garden. Here's my lounge chair, I sometimes let my dad share it with me.

Some pretty flowers. I like to smell them and sometimes eat them or I think they are toys and run wildly around the yard carrying them. Whoops, that's actually sticks I'm thinking of. Flowers are just plain boring unless they have bees in them. That can be kind of interesting!

Baby sparrows in their house. I wish my mom and dad fed me as often as these babies get fed! They have truly nurturing parents!!

Finally my mom got an almost 1/2 decent shot of a hummingbird. She's been trying for weeks!

Guns and other scary things

I hate guns! Not only guns but blueberry cannons, firecrackers, fireworks, loud airplanes and ESPECIALLY THUNDER!! We live on a farm. You would think that means peace and quiet, wouldn't you? But no we have things like blueberry farms around us and in the summer that means LOUD cannons to scare the birds away. Too bad they don't scare the birds cause they sure scare me! Here I am hiding out after an one of those bad cannons has gone off. Sometimes if they're far away I can keep my cool but the really close ones send me right into hiding.

Hmmm... okay maybe it's safe now.

Spoiled pups

We love to wear coats!! Fortunately for us our Auntie Sue loves to spoil us and buys us lots of coats. We especially love these..... they're actually little bathrobes with hoods but we wear them as coats.

I think I look like I'm ready to get in the boxing ring. Ready to box with me Eddie? I'm all warmed up and ready to take a swing at you.

Summer days...

On summer days we get alot of hummingbirds coming to the feeders in our yard. Sometimes my dad lucks out and gets amazing pictures of them. Today was not one of those days...

Here I am in one of my favorite places to be in the heat. Under mom's lounge chair. It's very shady and I can be close to her at the same time.

No hummies in this one either!

My brother Eddie is not as smart as me... he only gets behind the chair. It's much better to get right underneath. I'm usually quite selfish about keeping this position for myself though.

Parade

Last weekend my mom and dad went to the Vancouver Gay Pride parade. There were lots of dogs in the parade. This was one of my mom's favorites.

Isn't he cute with his grass skirt and his lai. Very hawaiian!! A suitable costume as it was close to 100 degrees that day.

I didn't get to go to the parade as mom and dad said it was way to hot for me to sit on the sidewalk for 3+ hours. They did bring me home some pretty beads to wear. My brother Eddie is extremely jealous... he doesn't like to see me all dolled up.

Cooling off!

It's quite a warm one today. Hmm, I wonder what Mom and brother Eddie are up to??

I really don't like the look of what mom is doing with the hose. Maybe if I just lie here sweetly she won't see me!

Oh no!! Look at what's happening to poor, poor Eddie.

Oh dear, she got me too!! There don't seem to be any towels around. Maybe I can use the grass...

The grass is working pretty good but I'm still feeling wet and yucky....

Oh yes, I think this dirt looks like it would work much better.

I'm sorry mom! Do we really have to start the whole process again?? I just can't stand being wet. It's a sad life for a dog!

This is fun!

Hi again - This is alot of fun! I wanted to show you this picture from my July 4th birthday party. My mom had a party for me and my brother Eddie and baked me these yummy cupcakes. See the dog bones on top? I was really sweet and shared with my brother. We celebrate my birthday on July 4th cause I'm adopted and my mom and dad don't really know when my birthday is. We chose July 4th cause that's the day my dad picked me up from the adoption centre in Idaho. Sometimes when I'm bad I get threatened with being sent back there and then I'm really good!! for a few minutes anyways.

This is me at my fourth of July birthday party. My mom made me these yummy cupcakes. See they have dog biscuits on the top of each one. Because I'm such a sweet boy I shared with my brother Eddie. My mom and dad don't really know when my birthday is cause they adopted me. We celebrate on the fourth of July cause that's the day my dad picked me up from the adoption place in Idaho. When I'm naughty they threaten to send me back.....and then I behave really well!

Hi! My name is Winston. I'm a rat terrier. I live with my brother Eddie and my mom and dad in Abbotsford BC. I love to look at Martha's website and especially the "The Daily Wag" which is a blog all about Martha's dogs Francesca and Sharkey. I read their blog almost every day. Just recently my mom said I could have my own blog if I wanted, Yippee! So I don't know how often I'll be able to post... it takes my paws a long time to type and I make lots of spelling mistakes. Thank god for spell check!! Anyways I live on an acreage with my brother Eddie. We have lots of fun playing out in our yard. This picture is of me helping my mom prune our pear tree in the early spring. I'm really good at climbing a ladder! Way better than my brother Eddie. Eddie and I love to chase all the wildlife in our yard especially the crows. I hate crows and whenever one comes into our yard I must chase him away. I run after them like a wild thing!! I really hate the noise they make.
